About Us

Wootton and Bashley Club, formerly known as Wootton and Bashley Working Men's Social Club, is a friendly community hub located in the heart of the New Forest. Founded in 1921 by local working men, the club has evolved into a modern venue that hosts regular events and offers affordable leisure facilities for residents and visitors alike.

Membership & Fees

New Member Joining Fee: £30.00 for the first year (concessions available for those joining midway through the year)

Annual Renewal Fee: £20.00 (due every January)

Visitor/Guest Entry: Holidaymakers and passers-by are welcome for a £3.00 per person entry fee (children enter for free).

Member Benefits 

Exclusive bar prices and access to the Members' Bar which is equipped with 2 snooker tables, 1 pool table, darts and board games. Members can receive preferential function room hire rates subject to the Committee's approval. Free entry to most live music events.

Function Room

A beautifully presented event space accommodating up to 120 people, complete with a licensed bar, stage, dance floor and disco ball.

Parking

Ample, free parking including a large rear car park.

Family & Pet Policies

Children are very welcome but must be supervised by an adult. For their safety, they are not to run around inside, access the snooker area or jump or climb on the stage. Highchairs are available and we will soon be installing a baby-changing station.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Free dog treats and water bowls are available at the bar.

Governance

The club is managed by a completely voluntary committee that took over in 2023. They are steadily refurbishing the venue and hosting regular events to support the local communities of Wootton, Bashley, Tiptoe and the surrounding areas.
